FAQ’s

Many teenage boys experience hormonal imbalances during puberty. While these are completely normal and harmless, they may cause some bodily changes. One such change is the development of breast tissue — a condition known as gynecomastia or male breasts. In India, up to 60% of men are affected by some level of male breasts. Male breasts are caused by hormonal changes leading to breast tissue development. The goal of Gynecomastia Surgery is to remove this excess tissue and breast gland.

If the region around nipples called areola is puffy, expanded, or swollen If you hold your chest from one hand and any other body part that has fat like stomach, thighs etc. from another, and you find the chest tissue rubbery, harder, granular than the fat tissue — it is Gynecomastia.

No!
Exercise is only helpful in burning chest fat; it cannot get rid of breast tissue. No matter how much cardio or how many push-ups you do, surgery remains the only option for male breast reduction.

Gynecomastia surgery is conducted by General Surgeons as well as Plastic Surgeons.

General surgeons give an incision under the chest (which they call Mastectomy surgery) that is normally given to people who are treated for breast cancer. This is not the right way to conduct the surgery as this would give a permanent scar. For a lot of patients, the reason for getting the surgery done is social embarrassment and if the surgery leaves a scar, the purpose of undergoing the procedure gets defeated. Surgery mustn’t lead from one aesthetic concern to another.

Choose plastic surgeons that are board certified and have a credible experience of conducting Gynecomastia surgery. Do ask for their body of work, Gynecomastia correction results of previous patients before choosing them.

Surgery done at RG Aesthetics is unique because the way it is done leaves no cut or scar on the front of the chest.

We perform the procedure by making tiny incisions (no more than 4mm in size), along the side of the chest wall (or lateral chest wall) instead of the front. This ensures that the surgical scar is small and not visible from the front. We use state of the art equipments like MicroAire and VASER that leaves no tell-tale sign of the Surgery. Thereby, avoiding any stigma of undergoing gynecomastia surgery. We have done more than 2000 surgeries using this technique. Executing such a surgery requires a lot of skills apart from world class tools.
